CGH Energy was founded
in June 2009 by the company president, Jane Bugbee.
Combined, our team has over 25 years of involvment in
the geothermal community. Our focus is on sustainability,
efficiency and quality as well as providing the highest
level of customer service.

Jane Bugbee
President
Ms. Bugbee, a certified
geoexchange designer, founded CGH Energy in 2009
and is the company’s lead geothermal systems designer.
Prior to forming CGH Energy, she spent several years
working in the alternative energy field, including time
with CNC Software and working on alternative energy
related projects with the University of Connecticut.
Ms. Bugbee has a BS in Chemical Engineering from the
University
of Connecticut.
Mark Summers
Professional Advisor
Mr. Summers is president and founder of CNC Software, a CAD/CAM software company based in Tolland, CT. He formed the company in 1983 in Massachusetts, but soon moved the company to its current location. The company is extremely environmentally conscious and the proud winner of the CT Clean Energy 2009 award. The building is heated and cooled with 46 geothermal wells, and partially powered by a 73.7kW photovoltaic solar array. The employees maintain an organic garden on the premises and run composting and recycling programs.
Brian Summers
Business Advisor
Mr. Summers is vice president of CNC Software, a CAD/CAM software company based in Tolland, CT. He is an active member of the University of Connecticut Family Business Program and recently gave a presentation at UConn’s School of Business on intellectual property. He is president of Glastonbury Bikeways, Inc. a small non-profit organization which supports a bike-friendly town with more off-road trails, and he also holds a board position on Friends of Glastonbury Rowing, Inc. another non-profit organization which raises funds for the high-school crew team.
